வான்கா - எழுத்தோவியங்கள்

1. I dream my painting and I paint my dream.

எனது ஓவியங்களை நான் கனவு காண்கிறேன். பின்னர் இந்தக் கனவுகளை நான் ஓவியமாக்குகிறேன்.

2. I put my heart and soul into my work and I have lost my mind in the process.

எனது இதயத்தையும் ஆத்மாவையும் என் வேலையில் இடுகிறேன், இந்த வழிமுறையில் என் மனதை இழக்கிறேன்.

3. The only time I feel alive is when I'm painting.

ஓவியம் தீட்டும் போது மட்டுமே நான் உயிருடன் இருப்பதாக உணர்கிறேன்.

4. I don't know anything with certainty, but seeing the stars makes me dream.

எனக்கு எதுவும் உறுதியாகத் தெரியாது, ஆனால் நட்சத்திரங்களைப் பார்ப்பது என்னைக் கனவு காணத் தூண்டுவதாக இருக்கிறது.

5. If you hear a voice within you say, 'you cannot paint' then by all means paint. And that voice will be silenced.

உங்களால் ஓவியம் தீட்ட முடியாது என்று உங்களுக்குள் ஒரு குரல் சொல்வதை உங்களால் கேட்க முடிந்தாலும் எவ்வாறாயினும் ஓவியம் தீட்டுங்கள். அந்தக் குரல் மௌனமாகி விடும்.

6. Normality is a paved road: It’s comfortable to walk, but no flowers grow on it.

இயல்பு நிலை என்பது ஒரு நடைபாதையாகும். அதில் சௌகரியமாக நடக்க முடியும். ஆனால் அதில் பூக்கள் பூக்காது.

7. Poetry surrounds us everywhere, but putting it on paper is, alas, not so easy as looking at it.

கவிதை எங்கெங்கிலும் இருக்கிறது. ஆனால், அதனைப் பார்ப்பதைக் காட்டிலும் ஒரு காகிதத்தில் வடிப்பது அவ்வளவு கடினமாக இருக்கிறது.

8. One of the most beautiful things to do is to paint darkness, which nevertheless has light in it.

இருள்மையை வரைவது அழகான ஒன்று. இருள் என்பது மிகக்குறைந்த ஒளி மட்டுமே.

9. I can't change the fact that my paintings don't sell. But the time will come when people will recognize that they are worth more than the value of the paints used in the picture.

என்னுடைய ஓவியங்கள் விற்கப்படவில்லை என்ற விவரணையை என்னால் மாற்ற இயலாது. ஆனால் அந்த ஓவியங்களில் உபயோகப்படுத்தப்பட்டிருக்கும்  வண்ணங்களை விட அது பல மடங்கு விலை உயர்ந்தது என்பதை மாந்தர் அறியும் காலம் வரும்.

10. I would rarher die of passion than of boredom.

அலுப்பினால் அழிவதை விட தீராக் காதலால் இறப்பதையே நான் விரும்புகிறேன்.
